not a question as such, but:

why am i supposed to convert celcius to kelvin, then take the reciprocal of kelvin temp.? when calculating solubility and enthalpy change of solution of potassium nitrate? i can do it, but i dont know why im doing it.

basically in the experiment i've just been adding +2cm3 of water each time and noting down at what temperature the potassium nitrate solution becomes saturated when slowly cooled after heating.

dont really expect an answer but you never know, i might get lucky..

You are calculating a dependancey, in this case with respect to temperature. The value you get can be multiplied by a new temp to get the exact amount of material in sol (for example).

Dont' people actually know how to use the internet to research these very simple questions.

It's beyond belief!!! Are people today so stupid that they have to ask a forum really dumb questions!!!!
