Has anyone experience of this? I am a longterm Sky+ customer with broadband and phone it's about £65 a week and I love it, but could this be any good too?

Surely not £65 a week....do you mean per month????
Should cost you £3 a month more and it will be well worth it.

Thanks methyl. I don't really watch that much TV just after I sit down to watch the good stuff at 9o'clock.
I like the customer service of Sky but not the prices and I love that you can pause, record etc which Tivo says you can do also.
I heard bad things about Virgin a few years back , just wondered if there is an improvement.
What do you prefer about it Methyl??
You don't need Tivo to pause, rewind live tv. The Virgin V+ box does that too.
I like that I can also watch Virgin Player on my pcs and mobile phone.
Go for V+ box... I wish I'd never got the Tivo!
What's wrong with the Tivo?

i'm a long term Virgin lover, but don't fancy the Tivo box.

I have a V+ box which lets me record 2 programmes while watching (and pausing) a third. Tivo has a bigger disk, and "learns" what you like, then makes suggestions.

As a married man, I don't need telling what to do...

The Virgin broadband is far superior, as it's on optical fibre. I'm on the 50 meg, and get about 40, so streaming TV etc is flawless.

Virgin don't charge for service, and if there's any problem, they usually replace the whole faulty unit
All this is academic to me as I checked on the Virgin site and I have not been cabled up so cannot get either a V+ or a TiVo setup.

Interestingly there was no way I could check if I was likely to be put on their system or register an interest.

Also not happy with they could only offer me a monthly download limit when I need an unlimited download service
