Have just downloaded and installed IE9 (was on IE 8) and two things have happened I cannot live with!

1. On IE8 at top of page there was a row of tabs I could click on such as favorites, int options, print option etc. Yhese have disappeared and I can see they are within the little tool icon at the top right of the screen. Can I put them as they were before?

2. When I go into google which I have designated as my default homepage, and search for anything, before in IE8 the info went right across the page with just a small part to the right showing other sites to go to. Now the sites found are only showing across the first 50% of ther screen. What has happened?
Thanks

You can add various menus back to the top of IE9, I think you need the "Menu Bar".

On IE9 you can RIGHT click on the grey area at the top of the browser, then select "Menu Bar" (put a tick next to it).

The bar with File, Edit, View, Favorites etc will appear.

Thanks for the prompt replies. Have got the menu bar back! and I will look at the link for further info as to how I can personalise IE9.
Than you both.
I only hope that I have done right upgrading from IE8 (I did so because it was always 'stalling' and coming up with a message IE not responding'
Regards
IE9 is more secure than IE8.

May be worth trying Firefox if you fancy looking at another browser.

You can run IE and Firefox (and other browsers) without any problems.

All seems to working ok now thanks. Just one thing which I still cannot alter even looking thru the link provided:

When I search google and the page appears with all the sites - this only shows about half of the page with ads on the right hand half. Previously in IE8 it was about 75/25%!!
