For years, to everyone's delight, I have been making a Christmas pudding from a famous and wonderful recipe in The Times from Jane Grigson. (No flour, brown breadcrumbs only; fat only from egg yolks; sugar only from dried fruit.) Alas, I have lost the recipe. Can anyone help, please?

..I've had a quick google but can't find it, I did however find several references that it might be in this book ... Jane Grigson - English Food,( London: Penguin, 1977).
Found it for you, I hope, google 'Jane Grigson recipes', its the third link from the top, once your in, click on recipes, and enter 'Christmas Pudding', about six different types, might have a go myself.

Grateful thanks and many apologies to you all. While looking for the recipe I saw that it was not Jane Grigson's but Frances Bissell's, another Times food writer. Sorry about that, but you did set me on the right lines. Thanks again.
