has anyone got the big rain heads of their shower and what to they think? I have tried a couple that weren't that powerful but I understand itsall to do with the pressure of the system.

I having a high pressure system and considering this :http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action

thanks for the link wolf :)
we have something almost identical in our main bathroom and we have a pump for it. it does use a lot of water and runs off the normal household hot water system so can drain the tank if you're prone to having long showers. have to say i rarely use it as we have an electric shower in the ensuite which i prefer.
Almost identical to mine.Ours is powered by an electric pump. Its very powerful and has never drained our system, even with my son taking the longest showers possible!
I havn't got one at home but have been to hotels with them - I would definitely have the one with the extra attachment as in wolf's pic - otherwise every time you shower you have to either wash or get your hair wet, which drives me nuts.

very true athley, yes I am going for the one in wolf's link
I never use large companys for buying stuff like this as they simply charge to much.

We are plumbers and highly recommend buying from independent shops like Chrome Taps and Showers here is a link to there mixer showers

better value, better quality. As for ther large shower heads here is a link to those as well http://www.chrome-tap...ds/large-shower-heads you might need a small pump to power these http://www.chrome-tap...ar-shower-pump-ac-421 great value and economic.
We have always had delightful Mira showers and combi boilers, which give unlimited very hot water. Our shower runs at mains pressure, which is quite powerful.

The rain heads are OK, but having used them in hotels, it's hard to get your legs & feet washed thoroughly, and you have to do contortions to get to other bits!

Many thanks for the link to that model - we're thinking of putting in a downstairs bath/walk in shower room, and that looks ideal!
