Thanks -got it now.
roslyn251254. Yes, got that far already, thanks. Still not sure where to look in B; perhaps my edition is too old.
mathsman-have a look at the crossword title -may help in "locating" entries in Brewers
hindle-a I'm afraid it doesn't help. The link, other than the obvious one, between the unclued lights still eludes me. I don't usually find Doc so elusive.
Look under Literary Placenames
roslyn 251254. That entry is not in my edition (15th). Need to visit a bookshop; thanks all for help.
Thanks for the link DJA

I'm struggling with this .I don't have a Brewers and apart from the obvious one unclued light I'm lost .I've tried the Bartleby link but even typing Literary Placenames as you suggest Roslyn gets me nowhere . It just comes up "no documents match the query " .I think I'm going to ditch it this week :)
Hi shaney

Son coming for dinner so will mail you later x
Can someone help me with 2 answers please ?

16a. ?nyp? (unclued)
27d. Insult liberal translator firtst. (7) ?ru?ple

Thanks
Ooops ...... first ! lol
I have gaff for 34a which gives trample f0r 27d
I think the unclued one was KNYPE:others will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks both. ;o)
Many thanks for the link, DJA. If anybody is still having problems confirming all the unclued entries, one of them (in 18th edition of Brewer, at any rate) does not appear under "Literary place-names" but is given at another entry mentioned in the first paragraph thereof.
Re Brewer's: appears it was restructured as of the 16th edition.
Earlier ones don't have the entry for "literary place-names".

Check your local library!
