about how long should new 1 last ? average use

and how long should it take an empty 1 to be fully charged?

Depends on machine and application(s) being used, mine takes about 3-4 hrs to charge

It varies hugely. anything from aboout 1:45 to 9 hours depending on laptop, size of battery, what you're using the laptop for, screen brightness, etc etc.

Also the charging time varies hugely too.
