So Ryanair plan to rip out two of the three toilets in their planes to enable them to install more seats.

I was surprised to read "There is no legal stipulation for an airline to provide toilets on its aircraft".

Surely with the ever increasing 'Health & Safely' legislation this can't be so?

Take this scenario, a number of travellers returning home from their hols with 'Spanish Tum' what then, would we see 'Toilet Rage' taking place over the one toilet?

If they just ran a drain along the gangway, next to the emergency lighting, we could just pee straight in the gulley.
Boxy, i remember watching Billy Connolly once, where he described something similar, a long trough, which all the chaps used, and as they were spending the proverbial penny whilst reading their newspapers, all the effluence came floating by, lovely.
"Can anyone remember those non-corridor train carriages?"

I think the problem was young ladies kept finding themsleves alone in compartments with axe murderers; it was thought safer all round to be in carriages where everyone could see everyone. The last one I was in was full of football fans returning home, though, and I would sooner have had a compartment and taken my chances.
"I've been on coaches with no toilets and coach trips invariably last longer than your average Ryanair flight." ......."Yes, but don't they usually take regular 'pee stops' on the way?"

maybe in some places, but i did a coach run from luxor to dahab which was about 16 hours and i don't remember any wee stops. if it did stop it was in the middle of noweher. mrs kou has particularly fond memories of that coach drive. it was freaking horrendous.

ryanair, 2 hours of crossing your legs? easy pee...sy.
Free shower gel! Fill them up and throw them at the cabin crew.

At least you won't bump into Gérard Depardieu on a Ryan Air flight, but a lot of people may copy him.
