Anyone know who they're rooting for in the semi's yet?

I reckon Kirsty and the bird from the coffee adverts will be the first two to go... Looking forward to next week! :c)

Caught it as I got in from work so at a bit of a loss really. Thanks for the info about the coffee ads girl though, had no idea who she was! Didn't want to start a thread on here asking 'Who is the woman who looks like Zelda on Masterchef...?'!

Which coffee ad BTW?

Those gold blend ones back in the day... it was a long running series of will they/won't they with Giles from Buffey the vampire slayer in.

There's also going to be that page three lady, I want to call her 'Linda' but I'm not sure it's right, Aggie from how clean is your house, the chef from hollyoaks, Tim who used to be on that morning football program that was on sky telly (don't know if it still is), Kirsty from Newsnight and my current personal favourite, Phil Vickary... I'm looking forward to it!
No way! THAT was Sharon Maughan? SERIOUSLY! The little ginger haired woman with the Gonzo nose?
Phew, that was close! Just watched the start on iPlayer for confirmation and the lady I'm referring to is Ruth Goodman (whoever she is!).
She was cooking with Phil and Kirsty on the programme I caught the end of.

Without appearing to make disparaging remarks against Ms Goodman I was worried that Sharon Maughan had been more than a little ravaged by the passage of time! From what I saw in other clips, she hasn't, thankfully.

Nah, she looks really good. That other lady is a historian, she annoyed me at first but she sort of grew on me.
Don't really mind who wins..as long at it's not Tim "up his own Yabbie" Lovejoy who, let's not forget, has cooked on live TV every week for last four years and has co-sritten two cookbooks. Phil looks like the class of the field to me :)
Question Author
I thought that about Tim as well and thought he had an unfair advantage... I find him quite irritating on MAster Chef as well although I used to think he was quite funny on the footie program.
Who IS Ruth Goodman?
She's a food historian, and often appears on the One Show.

I'm rooting for Phil Vickery - lovely man! and can cook as well!
Question Author
I love Phil. And Danny. And Aggie... although she sometimes looks a bit like she has serial killer eyes.

I'm not sure that I thought Tim deserved to go out last night (although I don't rate him much), I certainly don't think Linda is any better than him.
i keep bloody missing it, ruth goodman is the one who has down the victorian farm, edwardian farm etc, she's really good in them

when did tim twatjoy go?
Question Author
I ended up having a bit of a soft spot for Ruth, I thought she's be a laugh to go for a beer with. Tim was out last night along with the lady from the coffee adverts... Why don't you just watch it on iplayer? THat's what I do...
Ruth Goodman took part in the "Victorian Farm" and Edwardian Farm" series where she and two fellow-historians lived the life of those times with only the equipment and technology available at the time. They were brilliant programmes. Admittedly, her food on "Masterchef" was a bit eccentric, but I have great admiration for her.
i try to catch up when i can but you know how it is :-)

just reminded me i need to watch merlin n all
Question Author
She seemed a nice lady :c)

Nah, I don't know how it is, between attempting to go to gym classes and work, master chef is the main thing I look forward to of a day... I don't have one of those 'social life' thingy-ma-bobbies people talk about ;0)

(Btw, did you see that I got Eric the cat?)
i did yes, fantastic and how is he, i was going to respond on your water thread but everyone had seemed to say what i was going to.
Question Author
He's good ta, vicious little sod (he likes to play attack your hand and/or leg) trhough, I'm still not sure about the glow in the dark collar thing though... might have to ask another question at some point.
glow in the dark collars are goos, i;d never find that little bugger murph otherwise
Question Author
He had his booster jab last night and now has a note on his file... he went mental. :c(

On the plus side, I am very glad that Linda is out of Master Chef, I never thought that she should have stayed and Aggie went. I don't really understand how they can just judge on the dishes that are cooked that day as I think they should take in to account overall ability; Aggie was way better than Linda, (although admittedly I don't think she would have made the final 4 and I think it is the correct final 4)... Come on the Phill!! :c)
