I can hardly read today's papers without screaming.
What is WRONG with these idiot women?
They are attacking Kenneth Clarke for disagreeing with the suggestion that "rape is rape".
So here are 2 scenarios ...
Scenario (1)
Me and the BF roll in a bit p!ssed. He wants a bonk. I'm not really up for it. As we fall asleep, he has his way with me, kisses me, and falls asleep.
I wake up wondering why there's a sticky patch on my side of the bed.
He give me a coffee, and some toast.
Scenario (2)
As I walk home, a bag is thrown over my head. Four strangers drag me, screaming, into an alley. To stop me screaming, they punch me in the face, until I am unconscious. They take turns raping me, in the dirt, behind the wheelie bins.
I wake up in hospital, connected to a drip feed. My nose is broken. I have lost a lot of blood.
The doctor tells me that the men who raped me were arrested buying drugs. One of them is known to be HIV positive, and I will need to be tested.
So ...
There is really NO difference between these rapes?
As a victim, I should feel no worse about scenario (2)?

I realised that samak but I was trying to make you see it from the other way round.
But yes if your wife forces you to have sex after have said no then, yes you have been violated and yes that is rape. And don't come back with the argument that it isn't possible for a man to get aroused unless he wants sex because it is.

JJ that is terribly simplistic compared to your opening statement which included graphic details of how the rape took place. Im afraid to say it but you have almost done what papers do in over sensationalised some parts and under sold others.

First off, that was horrible for me to write so apologise if it causes anyone upset. But you CANNOT say that what I have written was any lees horrific for someone than one of your examples because it depends how the victim reacts to it! So That is why a rape Can be a rape!
I understand you are trying to take the emotion out of it and do from a law perspective but I think there are other ways of looking at it too.
And if you go along your line of thinking you could argue that date rape is hardly a crime at all because the victim doesn't remember it (That was intenionally controversial just to show the extreme side of what JJ has alluded to.)

ok i feel i have to point something else out ...as i missed it in last post ... the number for Rape convictions are among the highest conviction rates of any crime.
you are 90% more likely to be found guilty by jury for rape than say drugs assault murder car crime theft etc etc etc etc etc...........
if your going to jump on the band wagon regarding a subject like this the dont look at government report statistics regarding convictions.......look at the annual CPS prosecution report !!!! they are the only true statistics for crime .... the government like to pull a left hand right hand trick with numbers ... seriously if u dont know that you aint been in England long.
further more ..... scenario 1 .... is rape .... same circumstances with alcohol involved rape maybe .. will wife or husband be angry maybe .. forget it definitely if they even remember at all EITHER OF THEM For Funks Sake im not saying its necessarily right but its understandable!!!!!!!!!!!! get over it already .... the degrees of Rape are massive but no rape is not rape circumstances relationship intoxicants environment and personal views are MAJOR factors.

in Pakistan India Georgia Africa still some parts or far east Asia some parts of central Europe the LEGAL AGE TO HAVE CONSENTING SEX IS ??? YEAH U GOT IT 14............this is a far worse sittuation in my book than 2 drunk teenagers having a bonk ( becoz the eldest of these 2 cud go to jail WILL go on the sex offenders register and their life is screwed forever ) << is that fair?
