Beats a brolly any time.

Bl00dy weather. I'm supposed to be at a wedding today, but just don't ask about that sore subject. I am however at a christening tomorrow, where it definitely will not be rainy or grey cos I've put in a special request with the Big Man.

I know you do, but I aint saying cos I will be mightily tempted to blaspheme, swear and be derogatory and bitchy and I am above that.... ;-)

↑ agreed.. let's have it!

I'll be brief: Eldest stepson. The one who I have loved & helped to nurture for the last 25+ years. The one who I welcomed into our home when his mother kicked him out. Who I cried about when he left.
Disinvited cos his mother threw a wobbly & said if he invited me, my son & my daughter, then she wasn't going..... Bitter & vindictive after all these years, her final chance to get one back on me. And she has.

He & his betrothed want me there, but have given in to their mother - as everyone always does. He's 30 today, about time he did what he wanted.

But don't get me wrong umm..... I'm not p1ssed off or anything. Much.
What a spiteful bitch :-(
agreed.. I feel for the step-son, caught up in that nonsense.

I did think of stalking out the venue, hidden in the bushes with a deerstalker & a wide angle long-range lens. But decided I had more important things to do, such as cut my toenails & wax my armpits for tomorrow.

Never mind, I think things could all kick off tonight once alcohol has taken its toll and the claws come out. Maybe I'm better off out of it. How's you?
If that was my Mother I would simply say 'fine, don't come then'
Question Author
Yes. So would my other stepson. And my own son will damn well have who the hell he likes at his - and I would never dream of interfering. Ah, what the hell. I'm well out of all of that.

I do hope someone trips her up on the dance floor tonight though. My ex-husband has promised to try, but he'll be too busy propping the bar up to trip anyone up.
Thats really petty, hope you enjoy Christening
Question Author
This person has a First Class Degree with Honours in pettiness & bitchiness. In fact I think she's working on her Masters.

The Christening will be a real good family knees-up. Minus a newlywed or two. We will wet the baby's head in style. Bless her - it goes all afro when it's wet (her hair). Curly Sue we should call her!
thats families............ may have been a difficult decision for step son.
