Hi Bobbi, still taking things one day at a time. Ankle getting no better so struggling a bit at the moment, but friends have been helping me. x

My favourite meal as a child was lamb stew, which simmered on the hob all morning and we had often for Saturday lunch (made with Middle Neck of lamb with is so succulent) Loads of onions, root veg and pearl barley and, of course, big fluffy dumplings. Served with mashed potatoes and eaten from a dish rather than a plate.

Just the thing for a hot sunny day!!!!

Dumplings are wonderful things.

Not sure what I'm having tonight. Had too much takeaway this week to justify anything to be honest.

that is great to hear Jan, not about the ankle but that your friends are staying with you in you difficult times, very often "friends" drift off, yours must be very good people :-)

I love dumplings but can't have them as on a diet. :-( Probably salad for me today, not that hungry though at the moment so may change my mind later.

I have a roaring Log Fire and am sitting here in my Thermals, Winter is here.
Think I will hang my Xmas stocking up on the Fireplace just incase ! :-))
