After leaving the hairdressers today, I came straight home and put a brush through my hair - and even though my purse was over £100 lighter after my visit, I do that every time. I just wondered if I'm the only one who always comes away from the hairdressers dissatisfied?

I hasten to add it's always ok once I've got my own hands on it - but hairdressers never seem to get it right Is it just me?

Type Your Answer Here...Cut blowdry around £50 up to £110 now for colours as well so mostly do my own, growing hair a bit at the moment anyway (local salon)
Trevor Sorbie (of Trevor Sorbie hair products fame) has a salon in The Lanes here (naturally). He works in the salon himself. You can have your hair done by Trevor in person if you don't mind a bit of a waiting list. But he's always there, in the salon, overseeing everything. I think most of his client's come out feeling fairly satisfied.
Love my hairdresser. She does just what I want and I am always pleased. I go in asking for a messy looking cut and that's what I get!! Cost me £60.00 for colour yesterday though. I am now two toned Icecream and Caramel apparently!!
Hairdressers.....I used to wonder how they slept at night, once ,back in the 70s went for a perm hoping to loo like Maria Schneider from "Last Tango In Paris" but came out more like Vera Duckworth from Coronation St!Now, thank God I have a hairdresser who understands my style and is very painstaking in her colour mixing and cutting.I pay £60 every 6 weeks for a colour, cut and blow dry.I'm considering having a crop cut and letting the grey rule the day.am I too young at 60?Would you?
60 is too young ... although some women still look pretty glam with grey hair ... it depends on the individual.

But, when you're only 60 ... don't even START to think about growing old gracefully, or any of that nonsense.

Get back in that salon.
Crop cuts and grey are very trendy at the moment.

Actually I have short choppy, feathery, scruffy hair and am 64. Never do I want to have a conventional old lady haircut or wear conventional old lady clothes. And if people think I am mutton dressed as lamb, then I don't care!! ;o)
Good for you, Lottie.

That sounds pretty cool, actually.
Better than my hairstyle on my avatar Jayne!! ;o)
