My brother lives in Suffolk, they're having a lovely hot summery week there. It's been miserable here all week. I read that we are in for a bad winter Jan/Feb are supposed to be the worst.
I'm trying to make my plants last as long as possible but some of them are looking a bit battered now. Nearly time to pull them up ready for next year. Some of the chrysanthemum type ones are just coming out, so shall still have a bit of colour.
Oh No. Not more hot weather. I'm going to have to water my plants as well boxy. Still got lots of healthy stuff still flowering. Then I'll leave them for the birds to take the seeds. Loads in pots on the roof terrace as well to keep going.
Eddie worst than usual! If that is possible - according to the Daily Express today. I'm still dithering about my geranium plant, haven't done anything with it yet and I'll have to sort it before the bad weather starts.
Here it is 11.35 p.m. and the helicoptor is ranging around. I wonder what is going on, but I am not about to look out to see - might be dangerous. Anyway, what I was really going to say is I have an amaryllis from last year. I think I might try potting that up to see what happens to it.
My garden is still looking beautiful - full of colour with lots of pots of large begonias in red, pink, yellow and white. Trying to decide whether to go away for a few days to the East Coast in our caravan but then my poor neighbour will have to water the garden .............. what a choice to make....
