Going to watch this in a minute but just can't stand the man! Will be interesting to see what he is like in "real life" when not attempting to do comedy - I'm hoping it may just surprise me!

It's a toss up between that, and Grand Designs, for me...
I don't mind him, but I'm not expecting him to be particularly differnt in real life. Lets see, here we go....
Ah well, that settles that - just seen there is something about nuclear power on BBC2 - not my cup of tea perhaps but Jim Khalili is presenting, I have to watch that!
Thanks for reminding me Ann, I like him!.........going to watch now!...........

Well how interesting was that! Quite enjoyed it - it was one of the better ones, started slow but got fascinating. Lots of info about the first world war and deserters .... Probably changed my mind a little bit about him, he wasn't quite as irritating as he is in his shows!
Couldn't watch it. The minute he open his mouth and that silly voice comes out it really irritates me! He surely hasn't been speaking like that all his life.
quizzywig confess that it was on, but not keen on the bloke, and the giggling, silliness, rather spoilt the programme.
Aahhh, I really like Alan Carr. I love his Saturday radio show. In fact he was the only reason I watched WDYTYA last night. I tend to steer clear of it as it's usually some pompus actor I have no interest in.

It was really interesing to hear about how his family (and likely many others) changed their lives after he deserted. Learnt lots of things I didn't know about WW1.
I like him too. A really genuine and nice man and I find him funny. I enjoyed last night's programme - a down to earth normal family!!
I enjoyed it and haven't really like the man, but last nights was good I thought
I might watch that later. He's from Northampton...
i think he is brilliant, is it on iplayer or something does anyone know?
Hello ummmm!!! ;o)
thanks both
Hello Lottie :-)
