Hi folks - not a good morning! In my rush to get ready I spilt a single drop of nail varnish on my pale grey cotton cargo trousers. Not a large stain but enough to see it! Tried to remove it with nail varnish remover but it only seemed to make it worse. Does anyone know anything that works please?

Hi Ann,
I'm afraid I think it's too late ... http://www.videojug.c...stains-from-clothes-2
By using the solvent, you've dissolved the coloured varnish and it's spread into the fibres. You may find that using more solvent on the stain with a pad of tissue behind it, both dissolves then absorbs the colour. Failing that it's specialist dry-cleaning - though this may cost more than new trousers!
...sorry Ann86....'afraid they need to go to the 'do gardening in' pile. =)
Staindevils (from most large supermarkets/hardware) do one specifically for nail varnish which I have used very successfully when I spilt some on a duvet.
Agree with Prudie stain devils is the way forward
