Hi everyone ... I'm wondering if there are any folk out there who are like me ... in between a size 4 and size 5. I know you're going to say buy size 4.5 but it's not as simple as that. I just wondered if anyone could recommend shoes that come up large or small? I'm sick of ordering shoes on the web only to find they don't fit. For example - Hobbs shoes always seem big to me. I reckon a size three and a half or four max is my Hobbs size. So has anyone got any tips for brands that seem either bigger or smaller than the size printed on the shoe? It's always useful to know when ordering. Thanks everybody. Happy shoe shopping. By the way, before you tell me to go and try shoes on in a shop before buying them, I live in the sticks and can't always free up a day to go shoe shopping. Ordering on the web is so much easier for most things I buy. If I could find a brand that works for me size wise, believe me I'd stick with it.

Am delighted with my first buy from Hotter Shoes. Their site allows you to download measuring advice and a footprint.
Aerosoles - which are unfortunately only sold in america at present, a few shops sell them here, but are hard to find. Very comfortable and they do practical shoes and fashionable shoes. I bought two pairs recently in new york. I bought a size 6 US, and I am a size 4 UK. You could probably buy a 6.5. They do regular width and wide fitting. Look here:-

I think Clarks do half sizes and free returns from their online store.
Sorry didn't read the question properly, that wasn't what you wanted to know was it.
I was told the other day by a shoe shop lady that Gabor shoes " come ups bit larger" , might be wortha try! Good luck. I have a similar problem as I have wide feet. A Clarks 6.5 EE works for me.
Hogl shoes are also quite large fitting.
