what kind of dehumidifier would be powerful enough for a 1-bedroom flat?
I'm interested in one of those from Argos
" 600ml per day at 30C/80%RH. ; Uses Peltier thermal technology (no compressor). "
because I assume it will be more quiet than the ones with a compressor,
but I'm worried it will be a bit weak and useless...

Hiya Space get the biggest one you can afford if you ever move you can take to your new house We have had one for over twenty years now and would be without one They are all every quite If you get one from B&Q and its not what you want you can take it back Just ask to make sure. Our B&Q are great for that You WILL be amazed how much water you get from them if you do get one you will never regret it
Smudge's link says it all! If the Argos unit does 600ml per day, it rates as sub-microscopic on the table of sizes. Probably designed for dehumidifying a tea-chest or similar!
