After having it graffittied this year, some oik has now scratched and gouged the side of the hut. pulled bits of wood off it. I don't know if they were trying to get in or not as we have an outward opening door after several other huts had their doors kicked in and items taken.. I wouldn't mind but all we have in there are a couple of loungers, towels, umbrellas and a gas ring! there are big footprints all over the side.
Called the police as we are supposed to do, and they said they would have to look at over 12 hours of CCTV and as it is a low impact crime it's not worth the bother!!
We had drunken Poles throwing bottles at the cars, huts and people last week now this. Another hut has had a plank gouged out of it too, not to mention the 5 that were set fire to a fortnight ago!

That's awful, you have to ask yourself sometimes, is it worth having nice things when some little gob$hites ruin it.
aww carole, that's awful, what sickos would do this ?
It's no consolation, but at least yours wasn't picked out for special attention as others were vandalised.
its typical really, yobs will vandalise anything for no reason at all, I hope the police capture the culprits x

It's a problem in Torbay, although Preston Sands has not been too bad. Goodrington Beach huts seem to get the worst vandalism. We have a meeting every year where the police make the right noises, then do nothing when something happens to them.
The problem is usually with youngsters drinking.
