Well lankeela, that's just more of the same to me. But this viral messaging exercise is aimed at petlovers like you and you and many are clearly convinced so I'll bow out and wait on the sidelines.
factor 30 - The telephone number of the breeder is being given out and this corresponds to the one on his web site.........I hope you dont have a pet stolen/lost.
I'm not sure why you sound angry with me, jules77. I like dogs and undertsand the joy they bring to many people.
I was simply saying it seemed odd that this had only been reported via facebook and forums rather than in the press or on the Will Clulee site. I was simply asking whether anyone had a link to an official site on something other than a forum. And I was then given a link to other forums/facebook pages. I know the telephone number that is being given out is the Will Clulee one, but I don't know whether it's there with his knowledge.
Was thinking the same Jules, but thought I would get slated for saying it!
I am at a loss to see what I have said that seems to have upset you both but I'm feeling that Pets is far less safe a category for me than even Chatterbank and maybe I should stick to Q&P and Personal Finance!
I can understand why factor30 is doubting it. A very similar thing was spread through my Facebook friends about horses and the owner had to sell the horses or they would be killed. There was a moby number on that one too. It turned out to be a hoax. The difference is that within 30 minutes of it doing the rounds, MSN announced it was a hoax. Since this doesn't seem to have happened with this one, then sadly it probably is real. I hope for the little pups sake that it's not. :(
Is this a puppy farm ?
I am not upset or angry. :)

It has been confirmed it isnt a hoax. Ok!
No this is NOT a hoax - this is what the dog world does when something like this happens - we go into overdrive to make sure as many people as possible know what has happened to try to make the stolen dogs too hot to handle. We have a very good communication system and if you look at the doglost site you will see just how many dogs go missing every single day.
This is not a puppy farm either they are very well bred puppies from a responsible breeder who is well thought of in the gundog world.
I'm impressed at the way you all work together. I assume the west mercia police are also involved and will put something about it on their website as I haven't seen anything yet. Hope it works out well for the pups.
One question - if the pups become 'too hot to handle', what happens to them? I would hate to think all this pressure resulted in some poor pups being 'disposed of' because whoever had stolen them felt it was their only option.
Thats a risk they have to take otherwise they just have to resign themselves that they might never get them back. This way people are aware if anyone gets a new puppy or sees one for sale. They won't want to keep them long as they lose their puppy appeal and of course need feeding if they are to be worth anything to them. Its a strategy that has worked well with other stolen litters. Vets, pet shops, groomers, in fact anyone who has anything to do with dogs have been notified, as well as the internet and poster campaign. Local papers and tv and radio are also involved. Someone usually tips the police or owners off in these cases. A reward also often brings news, as they say there is no honour among thieves!
Any news about the puppies?
I'd like to echo Tambo's question if i may?
No tambo, Will Clulee is certainly not a puppy farmer, he is a highly respected breeder.
