is there any way to pin a shortcut on my desk top to the task bar in windows7 (it was so EASY WITH XP) win 7 is overcomplicate compared to xp
when i for instance try to drag short cut folder of pictures stored on another hard drive in my comp to the task bar is jumps to a box called pinned on the left
ive search google and nothing works for me on there
they all go to "pinned" but there not pinned to the bar?

Agree much of W7 seems to be awkwardness for the sake of it. Shortcuts and running icons are now in the same block, looking much the same. I'd not have instinctively put stuff into somewhere call libraries. And then there's the unintended cursor movement that makes them all pop up over what you are trying to look at. Not to mention moving a window up or across, only for it to amuse itself by maximising when you have no intention of it doing that. It seems that every day I find some other irritation deliberately added.

chuck ive put the folders i want on the task bar in libraries but it was easier and more convenient to have them open with ONE click from the task bar
im really not impressed at all with win 7 my xp ran good fast and trouble free, only went for win 7 thought i'd "keep up"
