it relates to so many things
yes, it has a vast number of possible meanings - it's up to the poet to allude to the ones he/she has in mind, otherwise it makes for rather lazy poetry
What sort of sea? Rough, calm, deep, blue, depends on how its described.

its very descriptive I always think of it when I go to the sea I love the sea its so many things like this poem says.
