Sorry if this seems a silly question, but will ask it anyway. What is the key to happiness? I have never really known happiness in my life at all, but know quite a few people who claim to be. Some people say that you will never be really happy in this life, and that is only meant for the next world.

I know the quote "Happiness is hard to find within oneself, but impossible to find anywhere else", but who said this?

Are all of you happy on here, and if so then can you share your secret with us? Thanks as usual for your speedy replies.

Can anyone tell me what this ailment is called?

Happiness has got to come from within IMO, it doesn't matter what you have around you or what materialistic things you own, if you aren't happy in yourself then nothing will make you so. So contentment with yourself and liking yourself have got to be the first step to accepting you are happy, the rest will add more dimension to it after that. It must be wonderful to be that happy and content, but sadly a lot of people aren't which is such a shame.
