and being pedantic crows aren't gregarious, usually only seen in pairs unlike rooks.
exactly prudie - the clue Songbird doesn't apply to crows, to me, and rooks are gregarious, not crows. Methinks the setter doesn't know his birds very well.

The all-black carrion crow is one of the cleverest, most adaptable of our birds. It is often quite fearless, although it can be wary of man. They are fairly solitary, usually found alone or in pairs- RSPB website.
