How is the shot where the camera zooms in on a person while the background rushes away achieved?

I'm not sure but it's some like... long distance lots of zoom move closer and decrease the zoom The person is roughly the same size but the depth of field changes
I agree with gmc2002: - perfect explanation! I tried to write an answer, but it just ended up as my usual utter garbage. So you put the camera on rails and slide it forward whilst zooming out, or vice versa.
Yes, its called the reverse dolly zoom and was invented by Alfred Hitchcock. I believe it was first used in the film Vertigo.
