Hi all. Anyone remember an advert with a sort of west country guy who was trying ( i think!! ) a new margarine. The voice over was something like " do you like this butter/spread @ to which he would reply either Grillicks or Chucklebutty. Anyone remember i've been racking my brains!!!
Ta in advance.

Think it might be delight margarine, later to become clover
My mother used to howl at Bruce Forsyth asking,"Can you tell Stork from butter?"

"Of course I can, you silly sod", was her reply.
the stork from butter one was soundly tutted at by my mother!! The idea that people from her generation wouldnt know the difference, was ludicrous;-)
It might have been Echo margarine
Echo was the cheapest you could buy, used only in baking, though my mother would never use it. if I can remember from the dim and distant past she used Summer County, which was the Coop's own brand. The first slightly edible margarine I can remember was Blue Band.
Don't know if this will work:
