Thanks all, can only hope it will improve with time. The good news is a couple of friends popped round tonight and brought me a litre of Smirnoff! Don't worry, won't be drinking it all at once but it certainly is a good painkiller.

In my experience such things don't keep very well. Best drink it all ASAP, just to be on the safe side.
