new router

I have recently had a router installed - netgear 2000 dgn- and although i can get on to the inernet, i can't use outlook express to access my emails. I am using windows xp. Can anyone please help?

If you can access the Internet, then it must be that Outlook Express needs setting up correctly. It most probably has nothing to do with your router. If I were you I'd use Googlemail (gmail) rather than OE anyway, and your emails are available wherever you go as long as you have Internet access.
Unless you have specifically set up the router to block whatever the e-mail client is doing, then it ought not be the cause of the problem.

Are you implying that Express worked fine through a previous router and the only thing changed since hs been the router ?

BTW unsure if 'science' is the best forum for a PC/technology problem.
