I don't see why you couldn't use paypal. It's just like a bank acount isn't it.
Let us know how you get on.
If you have a paypal account it'll be linked to a bank account, You can pay your road tax from your bank account online.
I not sure why Paypal needs to be considered.
Sorry, I know this doesn't fully answer your query
No you can't.
I have just renewed online. The only options I was given were debit card and credit card (with a £2.50 admicharge for using credit card)

oh well worth a try, thanks very much for your answers.
No, Payment can be made using a debit or credit card. We accept UK Maestro, Delta and Electron debit cards and VISA and MasterCard credit cards.

Ron.
Plus you must submit a cover note and mot certificate
If it's a renewal you certainly don't need to post off any docs.

sorry factor 30 everytime I pay mine in post office they ask for my cover note and mot and they are renewals.
Correct, no docs required. They can check all that electronically.
That's at the post office though, not on line.

The documents are checked on the DVLA's database when you buy online, no need to have the insurance or MOT on you at all.
Yes, that will be right, Connemmara, but the questioner was asking about online payments so I was referring to that
You also cant pay using a credit card in a Post Office.
