Started symptoms on Monday. Before I had sinus surgery 5 years ago I suffered terribly with them, was constantly on antibiotics. This is my first one since the op. Can it go away on it's own or do I really need antibiotics?

TIA

Oh and I have a bit of a chesty cough now. :0(
Mine tend to go away on their own (I had surgery years ago too). If it hangs about for a couple of weeks though, I`d go to the doc`s.
Yes, it can go away without antibiotics if you feel quite well in yourself and have no temperature.

However, if the above are present....then antibiotics will be required.

Thankyou both.
Will try and stick it out for a wee longer.

I suffer with my sinuses and I have had this rotten cold which is going round - painkillers and a suitable nasal spray are helping considerably.

Hi boxtops. I've been using sudafed tablets for sinus pain which I think have helped a bit. And steaming to loosen all the nasal mucus. This is also following a nasty cold I had a few weeks ago.
Hope you feel better soon.
