Is there anywhere at all that will exchange euro coins for sterling? I don't have a huge amount, but as I'm so hard up at the moment, every little would help. Post office won't accept them, they have told me banks nor b/soc's won't either. Does anyone know of any travel agents who will exchange coins, or any way I can exchange them for goods?

I think that Marks and Spencers price their good in euros as well as pounds. Other than that do you know anyone going abroad you can sell them to?
If you have easy access (like on foot, perhaps) to an airport or port from which people travel to Ireland or the european continent then you might be able to do a euro-to-sterling swap with those who have no use for the sterling (foreigners) or need coins for telephones or supermarket trolleys (Brits). Bus stations where continental buses leave from might also be of use. You could also offere the coins via a supermarket advert board. It all depends on how desperate you are as to how hard you want to try.
Surely an international bank would exchange them for you, wouldn't they?

Did any of our Posts help you make the exchange or do we need to keep trying? Also, I hope your circumstances have improved drastically or that they will very soon.

Some BT payphones take euro coins.
They take 50 cents, 1 euro and 2 euro coins.
This may be too late to help the original question-asker, but someone else with the same problem could benefit. Euro Coin Exchange (http://www.webuyeuros.co.uk) will buy your euro coins for sterling. (Full disclosure: I run the company's US coin business).
