Doesn't sound like a problem with your printer - sounds more like the files you want to print are associated with the wrong application.
That's simple to fix, especially if you told us which OS you are using and what type of file you are trying to print.
Sounds like OneNote is set as your default printer.

If you are in Windows open the Control Panel then the Printers option and it will list all your "devices" (little icons).

One will have a tick on it (probably One Note).

Find your printer icon, RIGHT click on the icon, and choose "Set as default printer"

It should now put a tick on it, and everything should now print to that printer by default.
Note that whenever you print something a little window comes up showing your devices.

You probably never look in it and just press OK.

But this window is telling you where your print is going to go, and if you look yours will probably say "One Note".

You can change it to your printer within this window (for just this print job).

However you are better setting it as the default like I showed above.
Difficult to see how an application (One Note) could become a default printer. On the other hand if you elect to print a document, it's normally opened and printed by the associated application. So, as I said, it sounds as if One Note has become associated as the default application to open your document.
Print to one note is a virtual printer driver installed with office 2007 and later (obviously only if you have one note) so I'd agree with VHG that it sounds like the default printer has simply been changed to the one note virtual printer.
I sit corrected.
I knew One Note was an app, but didn't know that there was a virtual printer of the same ilk.
"I sit corrected. "
My wife's just pointed out that actually a slouch corrected - "no wonder you're always moaning about backache!"
