Just could not get enough info on either answer but will go with watchet!!

Watchet is the only one I can find that refers to pale blue colour, Hatchel or Hackle is more of a generic term
You're spot on, pangolin, it is watchet. I thought hatchel was the answer (as per earlier replies) but on consulting a piscatorially-minded friend in Canada, learn that Watchet is not just a tiny seaside place in Somerset!! Ah well, out with the Tippex again....!!

Checked the New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary for this: A Watchet is defined as either 1. a light blue colour, or 2. Angling: (An artificial fly imitating) a s small bluish mayfly.
