I get an error when I try to log in to my computer. How do I fix svchost exe errors?

When I try to log in to my user account on my computer, I get a svchost error. I can’t log in to stop it. How do I fix svchost exe errors? This is driving me nuts! I need my computer to work!

svchost is a generic container for any windows process that runs a service from a DLL, so it could be thousands of things. surely the error gives more details?

As Chuck says svchost is used to run dlls. As such it may be a failed attempt by malware to exploit your system.

The fact that Windows does not give information about the ultimate executable has long be a criticism.
