I've got Winnow ( wino = WN) only because I remember being involved with winnowing the hay from hayfields back in the 1950's .

Thank you so much brokenbank - yes "Winnow" sounds right!
This was in the good old days when everything was done by hand and it was my school summer holiday job. A 12 hour day for 2 shillings and sixpence plus sandwiches and lemonade!!
