Greetings each.
Does any clever person know how I can burn .rm files to DVD please?
I have tried a trial version of Xilisoft Video Converter and converted a file to .wmv but the quality doesn't seem as good.
There must be a way to do this as I have a load of .rm files which I want to watch on the TV!!!
Cheers.

Hiya squidgelet

I'm afraid you can only burn .rm files to a dvd for storage purposes - you can't see them in this state. To see them they have to be converted to .vob files or VIDEO_TS. It's the same no matter what the original film format.

I've had a look and I've come up with a few free ones and a few which have to be paid for. Where there's a choice go for rm to dvd.

Hope that helps. If not, come back and I'll give you my email addy where maybe I can help you more.

If you're already able to burn other types of video files to DVD then you could use a website rather than a program to convert. Saves any concern about installing a dodgy program (or even more worrying, paying for one!)
you can burn RM files to DVD with Winavi video convertor, but I think you have to download an add-on to the standard programme.
