Mrs MM went shopping today. On the way home she passed Greggs bakery. In her words "The smell of cooking dragged me into the shop" She bought a Steak bake intending to eat it for lunch when she got home. Where the steak was is anyones guess. Pastry and a bit of gravy. I rang them to complain and they said bring it back. The shop is approx 9 miles away. When I told them this they said unless it was brought back there was nothing they could do. Good old customer service. Rant over.

as i said on the other thread..if you sell something labelled as something - then the least you should be able to expect is for it to contain that something...

it may only be a pasty but no steak at all is taking the pish for a steak bake...

it was probably just a mistake, a one off but if it keeps happening then its just a con... too many places get away with carp like this...

a phone call is easy and takes a few minutes...if it makes you feel better, wheres the harm?

i wouldnt have gone to any other effort though, like writing etc

saying that, they did all they could in the circumstamces... not sure what you were expecting them to do? send a chauffer? pay for a courier or taxi? send you £100 in vouchers...?
Seriously, I think they could have apologised and told you to pop in when you're next in the area and pick up another F-O-C.

In truth though, I don't suppose the second one would have much steak in it. :o(
Micmak, would you like me to punch the assistant that sold you the steak bake that was missing the steak? :o)
