Hi All

Does anyone use Tesco own brand washing powder/liquid/tablets?

If so what do you think of them?

Or indeed any other own brand?

Thanks

Used sainsbury's once. Soon went back to brand name.
Waitrose own brand is fine but so is the one that you can get from Lidl which is a pound cheaper and, in theory, does 8 more washes. Can't remember the name of it but it begins with an F.
I usually use Daz, which I find washes very good. But last time I had to buy some, there wasn't any on the shelves. So I bought Tesco's Bio own brand, and I must say it washes better than Daz. So I will stay with this , and it is about £1.50 cheaper.
Asda's own liquid tabs - they do a crackin job on my whites
I use only liquid and get whatever is cheapest/on offer at the time.
Cannot say I've ever found any difference between them.
I'm only occasionally able to get to Aldi, but get their own brand liquid when I can and it is also absolutely fine.
Tesco Value Automatic Biological Washing Powder is well reviewed here:

(Don't ask me to comment directly though. I just go to the laundrette once per month and leave my stuff there for a service wash. The following day I go back to pick it up, with everything nice and clean, neatly folded and all my socks correctly paired together).
i use powder, tablet, liquid, gel, liquitabs, basically whatever is on special offer. I have never found any difference between any of them (both brands and own)
Recent Which? result: Best own-brand powder :Lidl Formil Biological. Best own-brand liquid: Aldi Almat Bio and Sainsbury Bio.
Tesco came bottom of the heap.

Thanks for your replies all.

Sorry for late thanking computer lost connection and wouldn't reconnect until this morning.
I usually use whichever of the top brand names is on offer but I also like Lidl formil and tesco's own make which I buy if I'm in town.
I have been using Daz for some time, mainly out of habit if I am honest. Works OK for me.
Lidl one is called 'Formil' and is very good and very reasonable. I have stopped buying 'names' as that seems to be all you are paying for!
When my kids were little i used to get whatever was on offer non-bio. For some reason i bought some Daz and have never bought anything else since. I might try some Tescos own brand now though. x
I swore by Persil, but have found Morrisons own brands really good and much cheaper and, like Persil, they don't stink!! Some detergents leave that awful detergent smell on clothes.
I haven't tried Lidls because a friend told me it wasn't any good. Will now think again and try Formil. Their dishwashing stuff is excellent.
i use aldi's own brand, anything which is on offer in costco, and any other own brand if i happen to be in a particular supermarket when i need some. i always use the liquid, wash everything at 30o and cannot see any difference between any of them.
I only ever use liquid. Haven't used powder or tablets for years.

Quite honestly unless they were on a fantastic offer I would never buy the expensive branded ones again.
I got fed up of paying fancy prices for detergents and now use Lidl's Formil liquid which does the job just as well.

I`ve used Tesco Bio for years. My hubby is in the meat trade & his white coats come out really nice & clean. I tried the new Ariel gel one when it 1st came out & it was nowhere as good as the Tesco one.
