I know that you are just passing the message on - but why just these breeds?

I know that bulldogs have some trouble giving birth and I once had a bullmastiff/GSD dog - my first love - maybe they could neuter some chavs at the same time (joke!)

By Bull breeds I assume they mean Staffs, Pit Bulls, Bull Terriers and their crosses rather than Bulldogs. Also there are a now a lot of what are called 'American Bulldogs' or Old Thyme Bulldogs which are just crosses. I think its just a way of trying to cut down the numbers, as most of the chav owners wouldn't be able to pay.
I imagine it is to cut back on irresponsible owners of these breeds breeding dogs for financial gain.

Staffies are probably the main cause for concern, all the pounds are filling up with these poor dogs due to silly people taking on these dogs purely as a fashion statement.
Maybe they should also castrate the chavs that bring them in :-)
better still leave the dogs and just do the owners as most of those I see locally have no idea of the basics
I scrolled through a few rescues last weekend and literally 90% of the poor dogs were Staffies. It's such a shame for them. There is a desparate need for this neutering.
This is great news! Staffies & Bullies are wonderful dogs IF they are well trained & properly cared for. Sadly many are not, so anything that can be done to stop indiscriminate breeding has got to be good.
Let's hope some owners take advantage of this excellent offer - well done & thank you.
