On TV last night with evidence from SA lawyers. Did you suspect Shrien Dewani had his bride killed so brutally?

Yes. I thought the programme was excellent. Factual and non-sensationalised. Also all was true footage of the wedding and cctv cameras - nothing was dramatised. I found very telling the cctv as they were leaving the restaurant just before the last journey. He was walking separately from her and even slightly ahead. Nothing like a honeymoon couple. Also the texting with the driver during the journey is very odd and is hard evidence. If he is extradited and stands trial I cannot see how he is going to avoid conviction.
The facts, as reported in the press, have always seemed a little strange to me.
I have said from the start that I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't a closet-case who felt he had to marry.....and decided that being a 'widower' was a more honourable escape than failing to go through with the marriage, or obtaining a divorce after it.
chelle it was on channel 4, 8pm last night.
jack the hat, it turns out that he is an active homosexual and partners have come forward about it. He probably got married to show his family he was heterosexual and then decided, or maybe even decided before, that he didnt actually want a wife.
He's always appeared quite 'camp' to me....so the revelations in last night's programme didn't actually come as much of a surprise....
Thanks grasscarp :-)
Didn't see the programme last night. At first I thought he was innocent and that the chap they had for it was just accusing him to try to get out of trouble himself but as things have gone on I'm not so sure, it seems there are a lot of questions to be answered.
One that springs to mind is what they were doing in that part of town at that time of night? If she'd wanted to see that side of the place where they were staying why would they do so at night rather than in the day light.
Good point D97, and it was mentioned in the programme. It also said why was she dressed as she was for going to that area - so probably she had no idea. For anyone reading the thread who missed Dispatches - here is the website to view it

probably trying to appease his parents by getting married though not wanting too like a lot of Muslims in particular (where non of them can be gay) they have to live a lie all there lives
dewani of course went way off track
I did and before the programme was aired last night, i did watch some of it, and as other have said it wasn't sensationalised, and why would anyone
come back from this horrible scenario and then hire Max Clifford.
deggers, don't think he is a Muslim.
yeh i know he wasn't i worded that wrongly i meant " though he was Indian Hindu i think, like a lot of muslims they have to live a lie
yes like many others here i suspected him from the start, when it was reported about the area they took the cab too being notorious for danger, i wondered why they or a legitimate cab driver would venture there, sounded off from the word go. Missed the programme but am gonna try and catch it.
