Okay...I'm not a happy bunny!

I've recently had to get my battery changed on my car as it died....because of the battery being disconnected, the radio is now asking me for a code!  I've looked at all the original paperwork and where its got 'Radio Code'...there is a dash and no number!  I've contacted the dealership and they have said that I have to go back to them so they can obtain some sort of number from the radio and then I HAVE TO PAY to the code....how hurendous!!!!

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this damn code....believe me, I can't sing and I'm fed up of my own voice!

Thanks loads in advance.

I had exactly the same problem happen to me a few years ago.
I really kicked up a stink at the dealership where I'd bought the car, and said that if they didn't get the code for me I'd contact Trading Standards, Watchdog and anyone else who'd listern.
My arguement was that they'd provided me with the car, so if the code had not being noted at the time, that was there fault.
They caved in in the end, and got me the code for free.
My advice is stick with it, and argue your point.

If its a Ford I can give you the code for nothing if you can tell me the serial number of the unit.

Tell us the make/model number then we may be able to help.

Thanx for the advice all... will be sticking to my guns...aint paying Pgt nuffin!

Loola....ohhh, can you help...?  Make and model of the radio I guess?  Model is:  PU-2325A.... I've got the serial number too now...

Thanx..JH.

That is a clarion set, out of a 306 at a guess!! Anyway it cannot be done via a code generator. If I had the set then I would be able to read the code for you but by the time you pay for postage you might as well use a decode specialist in your area (approx. 15 for that model) or of course the main dealer themselves. Good luck.Paul.
