I am about to have an Enhanced CRB check carried out. In 1982 when i was 14 i was reprimanded by the police for shoplifting a lipstick. At the time they told me it would only remain on record until i was 17 provided i didnt reoffend. I have been a perfect angel ever since :-). Will this come up on my CRB Enhanced check? Really grateful for any help!

While the interpretation of the law has changed (following a court ruling) meaning that cautions (and, I believe reprimands) are now never deleted, that change will have come many years after your reprimand had been deleted from the records, so it shouldn't appear on the check.

Thank you! Thats good news, fingers crossed i know its nothing major but i would still rather it stay in the past!
Dont worry as lots of MPs have criminal convictions for theft. The CRB report will be sent to you and its for you to show it.
I feel absolutely sure the incident won't show up on the CRB check.

But if by any stretch of the imagination it did, it wouldn't stop you from doing most things.
