Charentais melon.

Went shopping yesterday and found that Sainsburys stock Charentais melons, the best and sweetest melon ever, I normally only ever get these when im holiday visiting my parents in the Charente region of France, having it for brekkie now.

sometimes these melons have a musty, odd taste to them. i would say about half the ones i've ever bought have been like that, but i agree, a nice one is absolutely delicious.

This one had a really strong sweet smell, I could smell it as soon as I opened the fridge, I did feel a bit of a fraud tho as the melon was grown in Spain and not in the Charente region of France.
