Personally I'd wait until she is at least 18 months. If you get another so soon and the new one is naughty, the first one is young enough to get into very bad habits. A lot of pups go through their teenage years at about 8/9 months and can become very rebellious. The other problem is the dogs need to be trained separately. I am a dog walker and walk a set of spaniel litter sisters and they've been very hard work both for me and their owners. Their recall is horrendous because they are so engrossed in each other.Young pups tend to bond with each other and not their owners so things can get quite difficult. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule but just giving you my experiences. Wish you lots of luck whatever you decide.
I don't have Springers but I would wait a while if I were you. I got another dog when my first was about 18 months. He had calmed down and was getting pretty well trained then the puppy arrived and I had 2 naughty puppies on my hands. Training is hard with 2 especially if there's only one person trying to do it.

Thanks for this There is two of us so we can each have a dog to train. However I have taken on what barb1314 has said and she seems to have experiance of various breads as she is a dog walker by trade.

This morning I was speaking to anouther springer owner who said between the age of 7 months and 16 months her dog had to be walked on a long lead as she was so naughty they haddent expected it as she had been so well behaved. Think we will wait till at least this time next year.

Thanks again. of to enjoy her being so good ;)))
not a good idea imo to get litter mates - they are usually more difficult to train - they've got each other to rely on why should they look up to you? -a bit of a basic explanation but I'm sure you get my meaning.
