Have you got ANY word processor program? If not, download OpenOffice and use Writer (which is the word processor program from that suite of programs):

You can then create your own cv (from a blank document) or download one of these templates:

It is possible to set it up in Excel, a friend of mine uses Excel for all her correspondence rather than Word.
A valid point, Boxtops, but if someone hasn't got Word it suggests that they've not got even the most basic edition of Microsoft Office on their PC. So it's extremely unlikely that Funkyjane will have Excel. (The vast majority of home PCs probably don't have Excel anyway).
Or if you don't need a full office suite, you could try Abiword
Wordpad is supplied with Windows. It isn't fancy but it is a basic word processor.
GoogleDocs is good enough for a cv,
