I've used both TL and PI. If you get TL at a very cheap rate its a bargain, but don't expect anything more than a place to sleep with a bathroom.

If the one you chose is offering rooms at only the same rate as a PInn, then go for that as its a little more comfortable and welcoming.

Don't bother with breakfast at either, get your own in a local cafe.

devon's quite a big area!
are you saying you want eithe TL or PI? if so, what other ideas do you want - just go to their websites and see what they have available for the date you want
Where in Devon. Its a big county
I hate it when we only get half a question!

Which part of Devon? What date?

Travelodge are at Plymouth (1 central and 2 on the outskirts), Saltash, Okehampton (2), Paignton, Torquay, Exeter and Tiveton.

Premier Inn are at Exeter (2), Torquay, Paignton, Plymouth (3) and Barnstaple.

Maidup is right- TL has become very basic, but OK if it's a bargain price - otherwise, go PI.
I know this isn't a TL or PI, but we stayed in this hotel a few years ago for a family wedding and our stay was faultless. The owners were extremely helpful. I know they have family rooms, although can't say whether they would be as cheap as the ones you mention, but I can certainly recommend it.

Travelodge for me, rooms are pretty much similar and if you can book a week or two ahead you can get some cheap deals.
You could stay in the truck you have on your avatar. Sorry to go off the point, but is that tractor unit really 700 hp? That seems a hell of a lot, does it not?
Question Author
thanks for all your answers very helpfull some good ideas to be looking at
Question Author
sorry jonnyboy no room for the kids in the truck lol & yes it is 700 hp
Wow, that is a big one! How many litres is that motor, and do you drive trucks for a living? If so would like some advice on this matter, as thinking of doing this job myself very soon.

Thanks for your help, jaymund!
Why did the Irish trucker fill his rig with loads of kittens?

Because he was told the more litters the more powerful the truck!
Hi, there is also Innkeepers Lodge which is similar and there is one on edge of Exeter. You get a free continental breakfast in these too. Maybe worth a look.
