It seems they've got no regard for nutrition as the 90% of all stock is frozen junkfood and the stores I've hardly contain fruit'n'veg.

Aye, I see what you did there, 'tis a great trick pet!

It's not all frozen junk food - I go to the greengrocers for my fruit and veg, and go to Iceland for frozen fish, minced beef, chicken breast, turkey breasts/ joints and pork joints.  It probably would be better for to go to a butcher, but I can't always afford that.

Iceland is handy for frozen stuff, for cereals, bread, milk, al-kee-hol offers, stuff for my lunch during the week.

Iceland's history is that orginally it was a store selling nothing but frozen food. The bits and pieces it has added are for the ? convenience of their customers and are not its core business
I know someone who does the lab tests on icelands food and says he would NEVER buy their meat knowing what he knows, in comparison to other supermarkets
Their chicken tikka pieces are amazing. Soooo tasty. Wish I lived nearer to one just to get those things.
it's a frozen food shop !!!!
Why should they be bothered about nutrition? It's up to the customer to choose where to shop based on their thoughts on correct nutrition! Why does everything have to be about diet these days? Are we that stupid we can't make the decision for ourselves?
They do try! A while ago they introduced ONLY organic vegetables in their own frozen ones, and were the first place to intorduce frozen vegetable chips- ie, chips made out of  carrots and courgettes and stuff, shaped to look like crinkle cut chips, but orange and green and things!! Trying to get kids to eat more veg is a good start!!
I fainted in iceland once !!...Nothing to do with nutritional value mind.. I was on the pi33 the night before !!
'the sl@g of all supermarkets'  and Kerry McFadden does their adverts as well. Entireley coincidental I'm sure!
I seriously doubt any supermarket really cares about nutrition, all they care about is making money. They don't introduce new products so that the customer can be healthier, they introduce them so that customers go there rather than another shop
.........the tastiest dish in Iceland ...........
Kerry Mcfadden / Katona ............yum..yum
Bejam was much better.

I've never understood the reason behind peoples thinking on this.
If you go to ICELAND, you get frozen food
If you go to a butchers, you get fresh meat
If you go to a greengrocers, you get fruit and veg
Understand the logic behind this ???.
