Can anybody tell me the 'legal' requirement to hold on to 'paperwork' as in payslips and bank statements - I now have my bank statements on-line - but have plenty in paper form!

What is the correct term/time to hold documents for anything legally binding?

Any help appreciated! to clear the paper mound!

I think it must be two years for bank statements. I also receive my statements online and have been for a few years. I have just checked online and the Statement from July 2006 is marked as "will be delted within 28 days". Hope this helps.
