Hair Dye On A Carpet

While doing my sister's roots I dropped two small dollops of the stuff on the russet coloured carpet in the bathroom. There are now two small dark spots on the carpet. Is there anything I can use to get them out or at least lessen the impact, short of a pair of scissors? Thanks.

a little bit of head and shoulders worked into the spots with a cottonbud and sponged out after a few minutes might fade them a bit... it fades down hair dye that has taken too strongly on hair so a carpet should be fine just don't spread it beyond the stains

I never knew that rowanwitch. I'll give it a try. Just thought about Stain Devils too, I'll go and have a look at them.
