I would have guessed at Billie with "Because We Want To", but I'm not convinced about writing credits.

I'm with The_Mac_Lad. Kate Bush ... but I thought she was 17 at the time. 1978 was the year!!

Thanks for the replies.

I think the answer i'm looking for is Craig David, although there has obvisouly been a mistake as Kate Bush did have a number one at 17.
